Upon arrival, our representative will greet you and drive to Sigiriya. On the way, we’ll visit a pineapple plantation for a taste of Sri Lanka’s famously sweet pineapples, and stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you’ll see orphaned elephants being lovingly cared for. Next, we’ll climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, marveling at its “Lion Stairway,” mirror wall, and ancient water gardens. Relax for the evening with a stay in Sigiriya.
Departing Sigiriya, we head to Kandy with a stop at the Dambulla Cave Temple, known for its striking collection of Buddha images and ancient frescoes. In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which holds a tooth of Lord Buddha, and explore the bustling Dambullavegetable market. In the evening, enjoy an immersive cultural dance performance, unique to the island. End your day with a Sri Lankan cooking class, where you’ll learn traditional recipes and share a meal. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Travel to Nuwara Eliya, also known as “Little England,” a town filled with colonial charm, winding mountain Roads, and cascading waterfalls. Along the way, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens and the Ambuluwawa Tower for scenic views. Stop at a tea plantation and factory to learn about Sri Lanka’s world-renowned tea. Enjoy an overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya,
Drive to Yala National Park, known for its high population of leopards and other wildlife. Along the way, stop by Rawana Falls and the Buduruwagala Rock Carvings, ancient statues of Buddha dating back to the 8th–10th century. In the afternoon, enjoy a thrilling wild safari in Yala for a chance to see elephants, sloth bears, and leopards. Spend the night near Yala.
Depart from Yala to explore Galle’s highlights, starting with the Dutch Fort, a historic landmark offering scenic views and rich cultural heritage. Visit a turtle hatchery dedicated to conserving Sri Lankan turtles. If time allows, enjoy stops at nearby beaches to unwind. End the tour on a serene southern beach or proceed to Negombo or the airport for departure.
